Browser project delivery
Use Elara Send for individual deliveries within your plan: 1 GB without an account, 5 GB with a free account, 20 GB on Pro and 1 TB on Studio. Send up to 200 files per delivery.
Choose delivery capacitySend a project without installing transfer software. Reduce eligible files before upload, resume accepted parts and reuse verified originals your account still holds. Your recipient opens one link and downloads the original.
Choose by the actual route, capacity and completed handover. Several services offer browser transfers. Elara’s practical value is the combination of exact original delivery, eligible payload reduction, recovery and repeat delivery evidence.
| Service | Browser experience | Huge file and estate capacity | Upload speed | Download speed | Recovery route |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Elara Send | Send and receive in a browser. No installed application or decoder. | Up to 1 TB per Studio delivery; 200 files. Larger estates require a scoped migration. | 33.81 Mbit/s median; 64 MiB; three fresh browser trials | 92.58 Mbit/s median; ranged original download plus hash | Return in the same browser and account within 24 hours; reselect the same files and settings to reuse accepted parts. |
| Smash | Browser sending and receiving. | Paid pricing advertises unlimited transfer size. Its help page lists lower paid limits; confirm your plan. Free transfers above 2 GB queue behind paid transfers. | Not measured in a matched test | Not measured in a matched test | Confirm recovery for the selected plan and browser. |
| WeTransfer | Browser sending and receiving. | Ultimate and above allow unlimited transfers. The current support page does not state a per transfer size cap; confirm your purchased allowance. | Not measured in a matched test | Not measured in a matched test | Confirm recovery for the selected plan and browser. |
| MASV | Browser sending. Desktop app also available. | Documents multi terabyte files, with individual file limits depending on the destination. | Not measured in a matched test | Not measured in a matched test | Keep the web tab open. Desktop app documents pause, quit and resume. |
| IBM Aspera | Installed Connect acceleration; configured HTTP Gateway offers a browser alternative. | Deployment and destination dependent. No verified universal cap in this review. | Not measured in a matched test | Not measured in a matched test | Depends on Connect or Gateway version and configuration. |
| Signiant Media Shuttle | Installed app acceleration; a browser option without the app is available. | No file size cap advertised. Its browser option guide describes single file transfers; storage and portal configuration apply. | Not measured in a matched test | Not measured in a matched test | Its browser option guide excludes Checkpoint Restart; installed app supports it. |
| AWS DataSync | Browser console manages storage transfers. Local estate migration commonly uses a deployed agent. | Enhanced mode documents virtually unlimited task object counts. Storage quotas apply. | Not measured in a matched test | Not measured in a matched test | Managed storage task workflow, rather than a browser local file delivery. |
Capabilities above come from the linked service documentation and this app’s enforced limits. They are separate from measurements. Elara figures are three sequential 64 MiB synthetic original trials in Chrome 154 on 18 October 2026. Upload includes preparation and coordination. Download uses the authenticated streaming proxy and SHA256. They do not establish a speed ranking against these services. Smash pricing and its size limit help page give different paid limits. Confirm the selected plan before scheduling a huge delivery.
Run a real browser round trip and export the evidence. The benchmark records original and accepted bytes, elapsed upload time, recipient readiness and a streamed original download with SHA256 verification.
A huge file and a huge estate are different jobs. A single project needs a dependable delivery link. An estate needs an inventory, repeatable batches, change tracking, recovery and verified destination acceptance.
Use Elara Send for individual deliveries within your plan: 1 GB without an account, 5 GB with a free account, 20 GB on Pro and 1 TB on Studio. Send up to 200 files per delivery.
Choose delivery capacityStart with a representative pilot, measure reversible savings and transfer completion, then scope the estate in batches. Browser operation is a design goal for the customer workflow. Petabyte scale capacity and completion times require qualification for the actual estate.
Discuss your data estateEstimate migration time from your link and measured payload saving. At this scale, link utilisation, source disks, object count, verification, outages and change capture affect the schedule.
R2 provides the object storage behind the transfer path. Cloudflare documents effectively unlimited bucket storage and object count, multipart uploads with up to 10,000 parts and a maximum multipart object of 4.995 TiB. Those storage limits do not raise Elara Send’s plan limits or guarantee a transfer rate. A larger file requires deliberate segmentation and an application that supports it.
Cloudflare R2 limits. Cloudflare states that its public r2.dev endpoint is for testing and may throttle requests and bandwidth.
Elara uses smaller lossless encodings where they save upload data. For large files, it reuses verified matching data your account still holds and sends the missing parts.
If your account still holds a verified original, a new delivery can reuse it. You select the source so its contents can be checked. The new delivery still counts its full original size towards your active allowance.
The receipt shows original bytes, accepted upload data, avoided upload data and verified file count. The benchmark adds timing and an independent SHA256 check of the returned file.
Compression ratios depend on the file and route. A smaller representation is distinct from a faster transport. Explore the sample compression comparisons and use this app’s benchmark to test the transfer you will actually use.
